Gambini Meccanica: Renewable energy and industry 4.0
The theme of the environment is more timely than ever. We have been struggling for year to preserve the planet, in order to return it in a similar condition to that in which we found it, for posterity. While its worsening transformation is happening at a hyperbolic rate.
The company has placed considerable attention on Climate Change in recent decades, which in last year has been in the spotlight thanks to the intervention of the Swedish sixteen-year-old Greta Thunberg, who, at this young age, has managed to shake things up and raise awareness to this issue, in addition to a number of other controversies including the theme of global warming.
Air pollution is caused in large measure by gases such as carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulphur dioxide (SO2) and hydrocarbons, released by human activities, in particular by the processes industrial or oil refineries, which are added to those released by natural phenomena, such as volcanic eruptions.
These gases, recognised as harmful, produce a rise in temperature which creates the well-known “greenhouse effect”.
What does Gambini Meccanica have to do with Greta Thunberg?
As decreed by the Agreement signed in Paris in December 2015 by over 190 countries the need and obligation to curb the emission of greenhouse gases and pollutants is clear. This is already happening from the increased use of renewable energy. Industries are involved as key players in this process.
One of the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution is to achieve energy efficiency, with the use of sustainable energy.
Gambini Meccanica has been working toward this goal for several years, before Greta Thunberg, because its overall aim is deep structural innovation, supported by the analysis of data accompanied by a design approach that also includes implementation of renewable resources.
Saving energy
The company develops through of plants, connected to each other, which have a total energy requirement that is around 1.5 MW.
In our newest expansion we installed new generation SunPower solar panels, which will provide us with 250 KW.
This, in time, will lead to significant energy savings, as well as economic and environmental efficiency.
Waste disposal
Gambini Meccanica also catalogues and disposes of waste according to specific requirements. Different elements are taken from different companies, to the sorting facilities.
